After doing some searching on this forum and Google, I'm starting this topic. I'm in need for the link & sync procedure for this particular engine. I found Clamscanino's great advice on Merc inlines up to year 1989, but I can't seem to find similar info for the 1990-1994 3cyls.
The engine in question is made in Belgium, serial 9570635. The seller told me the engine "won't rev properly" and since the compression was even & good, I'm expecting the problem to be either in fuel system or electrical side. I've yet to test the engine on my boat but before doing so, one of the things I'd like to make sure is the timing (I read that incorrect timing will do harm to the engine).
