lanyard on new pontoon??

trying to get it running, would my 86 johnson 40 hp pontoon have a lanyard or something like a kill switch ?

it will turn over but no spark at either hole.

ok i have determined from iboats parts catalog that this year did have an emergency cut off switch and cap and lanyard ....

can somebody tell me if i hold the button in while cranking it , would it be the same as if the cap were attached ?? cause i do not have a cap and lanyard for the remote . thanks in advance

i have determined that i am missing a cap and lanyard on the remote

if i hold the button on the emergency cut off switch while turning it
over will it fire????????????????????

(provided all else is ok)

thanks for your quick reply mr joe,

got it fire and run but i heard a buzzer now it wont fire. im thinkin mabey i flooded it but that buzzer had me wonderin.

ive heard that before when i could even get it to fire.

pull switch out. disconnect one wire, if it is a bad switch, you will get fire.
