Lake Harris Fl 4th of July

I could not believe the number of people out on Lake Harris tonight to see the Leesburg fireworks display. What scared me the most is the sheer number of people running at night without lights... Nav or otherwise. Don't people realize it's freaking dark out there??? Hey you in that pontoon down by Yalaha, you need lights Brah!!! Good thing those car lights silhouetted your boat for me to see for just a second so I wouldn't hit you.

I bet you'd find for most of the people without lights, they have them but they don't work. Of course they didn't check--and repair--them before embarking, and they don't carry tools and spare bulbs anyway. Around saltwater where I am malfunction is a frequent occurence. During the winter, for night fishing,I carry a D battery bow light for back-up.
