Kill switch 1975 6HP Chrysler Model 62HG.

Does any one know how to wire a shortingkill switch into this motor?

If you don't get an answer to your question try this.... The kill switch on small Chryslers of the 1970s is the choke.... as in Pull Choke To Stop". You could just tie the lanyard to the choke lever. That's what I did for my kids. If they panic or get tossed, the motor stops.

I find the 62HG listed as a 1976 model.<br /><br />Part #27 is listed as a "shorting switch" here:<br /><br /> http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...2156.1/4A.png&inbr=1735&bnbr=20&bdesc=MAGNETO <br /><br />You should be able to get it wired in, following the diagram.

Thank you for Mercruiser link. It does not show where the two wires go to from the shorting switch. Any ideal where they wire to?
