Just bought a 1978 glastron with v195 omc Tilt problem Please Help.

Have you tried bench testing the motor yet ? the motor itself might be fine and you have soemthing binding in the clutch pack.

well I looke at the clutch pack and it all moves and looks ok. me next step is pulling the motor and seeing if it even works out of the unit. I appreciate all the help

If it was a prob in the clutch pack would I be able to move the stern up and down easily? when I pull out the worm gear.
