I searched the forums and scoured the net for the last coupleof days and can't find a definite answer. I have a chance to pick up a johnson v100 dirt cheap. I need to know if this is an electric shift lower unit. The owner sent a pick but I couldn't tell and he is out of town until the middle of next week.

From the cowling and marine engines, I narrowed it down between 66-68. I think it is an electric shift, but hoping it's not. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: johnson v100

If you are correct in your years, yes they are electric shift. They would be the larger, one-piece gearcase, pretty tough.
