Hey gang,
Dealing with a 1978 Johnson 85hp, model no. 85ML78C.
Earlier in the year I took the gearcase (or lower unit, if you prefer) apart to reseal it. That was a few months ago; had some medical issues and had to stop on it for a bit. Anyway, all better now, so I am starting to put it back together. But there is one piece that has me confused.
Unfortunately, I can't remember where the heck it goes. It doesn't show up in any of my photos, and it doesn't show up in the exploded diagram in the manual I have. The diagram on boats.net shows it (#5) but it isn't really clear where it goes.
Anyone know where it goes? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
