What would it take to make a jet unit from a 2-stroke 115 fit a 4-stroke 115? Bolt pattern is same, housing size. Engine rotation is opposite so different impeller, driveshaft. Or are there any out there for sale, used, reasonably priced? TIA.
I'm pretty sure the "bell housing" above the impeller would be wrong if you change the rotation of the (reversed/inverted) impeller (assuming your statement on reversed engine rotation is correct)
If you were able to get an impeller with LH vs RH rotation (or vise-verse) would the water flow smoothly thru the bell into the nozzle? (theory... I'm kinda guessing here)
2 and 4 stroke yamahas of the past 20+ years rotated to the right or clockwise while looking at the flywheel.
as far as the jet impeller? contact american jet as yamaha doesnt build them they do.
the sizes are mostly the same for the various HP ranges and will be determined, just like your prop rigs,by hull load.
