I am building a fiberglass box that will fit onto my 97 Kawasaki STX 1100 for fishing. The plan is to have room to mount a depth finder with battery, maybe a little bait well, compartments for tackle, rod holder... till I run out of room. I had purchased an identical ski for parts so attacked it this way. Formed it up with some sheathing that is 1/8" thick to give room for 18" insulation (like rubbertex) for cushion. The hardest part of this part was dealing with the non symmetrics of it and getting the top squared off. It is not perfect but close enough to be able to tune it with a grinder. I will probably make lids out of stainless or aluminum.
