Late last fall I bought a '95 nitro 19' with a blown mercury xr6 150. I have an '86 150 johnson. Can I mate up the wiring and controls to the johnson?

You could butcher the harness and make it work but the control cables aren't going to fit. Find a side mount binacle and it will have the cables and harness. Do it right and do it once.

Have the controls, just liked what was already in boat. I'll follow the advice, quicker and easier.
