Hi,

I'm doing a budget overhaul on a 60's Springbok aluminum boat. The seams have dried out and leak so I used the Gluvit epoxy product to seal the seams. Now I'm looking at what to top coat the interier of the boat with. I have called several marinas in my area to find out what products are used to paint the spackled no-slip finish on current production boats with no luck.

I have found several products and had several suggestions but it comes down to cost and availability.

Has anyone had any experience using the Insl-x Sure-Step Acrylic Latex paint on the top side (interior) on aluminum. I have emailed the company and they tell me that the product will work in my application.

Any help is appreciated.

Interior? Use just about anything you want.

Rustoleum with non slip additive...... just about any non slip stuff.

Just my opinion but I would avoid the exotic coatings and save a few bucks.

I would imagine any bare aluminum would need to be primed with etching primer before top-coating with anything.
