I'm fairly new to ice fishing and am just wondering what rigs i should use for using tip ups for pike, and what rigs to use while jigging for crappie and other panfish. Thanks

Re: Ice Fishing rigs

The key to panfish is small. My best setup for pan fish would be a super small teardrop that is white with a red dot. On the hook put on two or three eurolarvea. There are these yellow foam bobbers called ice busters that work real well. They use slip knots and you cut off excessive foam from the bobber so only a little floats above the water. For pan fish just use any light weight spin reel and buy a ice fishing pole for it. ON the second pole I use an ultra small jigging rapalla with eurolarvea on all the hooks and then the third pole would be a tip up with braid, flurocarbon leader with a red hook and maybe a shiner or a fathead on.
