Hi - Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread. I know how to test the 1 wire temp sensor on the right side of my 150 Johnson ocean runner, but not the left 2 wire side. it is a 1992 looper.

What does the second wire do, and how do I ohms test this sensor to ensure it is working correctly?

Thanks!

I didnt know there was a two wire one. Will be interested to hear if someone knows.
I assume one must be a hot wire unless they are both negative ground signal wires

The second wire may have something to do with the " quickstart " system.-----Or the " S.L.O.W. " system.

The white wire with the black tracer is for quick start. The tan wire is for over heat.

Put it in hot water..at around 100+ degrees the wht/blk will close ….test it like a one wire for the tan wire.
