my wife and i plan on trading our boat for a go fast this fall-winter, she likes the late 80s, early ninties formula boats. i have always liked he late ninties early 2000s baja. i am just curious to how much wood is in these boats and how much do you need to worry about rotten transoms and stringers? my boat now is wood free and i love not having to worry about rot, and this is my main conceren for going to a boat this style.

Transoms are wood. stringers are. sole (cockpit deck) is, bottom has balsa core...

Isn't it funny how to make a lighter fiberglass boat you always use wood?

Newer go fasts don't have any in the cockpit or cabin but the transom, stringers and hull do. Even if you go crazy $$.
