I have a Johnson now, I prefer any of them that run. Im not partial to a brand as long as it does not leave me stranded.

I just hit number 94 the other day... Hoping 200 by the end of this summer. Started out with one sold it and bought two and so on!! All at 19 years old ahh the Girlfriend Loves it

I had a yamaha.... 1988 40 HP. The only thing i didnt like about it is the bearings went on the crank and its a pressed crank so mucho mula to fix or replace luckly I had a good used crank... Great motors though

Currently, a 1989 Mercury 60hp...<br />If I had to do it over again and not that the merc does'nt run great, but I'd have to go with a 60 or 70 hp, mid 1980's JohnnyRude...<br /><br />Past<br />5 hp Gamefisher mid 80's<br />10 hp Johnson early 70's<br />20 hp Evinrude 1986 (best ob I ever owned)<br />70 hp Johnson 1986 (over 1500 hrs logged on it)<br />115 hp mercury Inline 6 mid 70's

1970 Merc 1250 125 horse with thunderbolt ignition. Runs awesome. Used to have a 63 Merc 850 85 horse, it ran awesome. Also used to have a 1963 Homelite 55 4 stroke, and it ran great as well, just not enough oomph. <br /><br />Als have a 1954 Goodyear Seabee 5 horse, and a 50-something Wizard 10 horse. The goodyear will be my kicker, the Wizard will never run, so will refinish it and have it as a conversation piece in the house (the conversation will be my better half saying "you are NOT putting that in the livingroom").<br /><br />Merc is my prefered brand, nothing like a big nasty inline six back there, and their new 250 horse 4 stroke is an inline six with forced induction, very nice......

2000 Johnson 70 VRO good old motors , Mines a little touchy idling, likes to die out after while. The new Evinrude Bomb looks like a winner!

I honestly don't know the exact number. I run a 68 55hp johnson on my bay boat. have a 40hp evin on the duck boat. My runner rack holds 15 motors,its full.At least a half doz on the floor that don't fit. My shed is full. I will guess and say less than a hundred. Some of the more interesting models include a 85hp west bend, martin 60 and a 7.5 electric start McCullough.Now how about motor cycles? Cars? I am down to only four boats. My preferance? I prefer the free ones.

2.2hp merc '89 old little toy<br />4 hp merc '02 new little toy<br />15 hp johnson '85 very solid but a long shaft<br />70 hp force '95 purrs, so far<br /><br />a '73 7.5 merc Its beat up pretty bad and for some reason likes to eat impellers. It has been sitting for 4 years now.<br /><br />And an old elgin '50's? It did run about 10 years ago when I bought it at a rummage for $5. I have never played with it, just brought it home and packed it into the garage.<br /><br />These last 2 will probably need to disappear this spring.

(what a GREAT engine)<br /><br />1978 Evinrude 6 hp.<br /><br />1980 Evinrude 4 hp.<br /><br />1989 Johnson 90 hp.<br /><br />1983 Johnson 50 hp.<br /><br />1995 Johnson 70 hp.<br /><br />1995 Suzuki 140 hp. <br /><br />A definite pattern, with one hiccup!
