Hi all,
Just a general question, but how long is too long to leave inboard engines idle?
I know this is asking like how long is a piece of string!
My boat is not due to be lifted until at least January next year and the last time they were started up was about 4 weeks ago, although the batteries have been kept topped up.
The last time they were run, all the flushing was completed and the blocks drained.
I have the 3.0 Volvo engines with the blue flushing ports, and its a right pain to keep flushing the engines using the marina hose after running the engine, and due to it being winter here, draining the blocks after.
I have recently moved house and need to spend a lot of my spare time on renovating the house, thus no time for boat!!
As I said probably a daft question, and I should really run em up as much as possible, but any experiences appreciated.
