How do you remove this pulley? I'm trying to replace breaker points. I removed this bold but the pulley won't budge. Is it supposed to slide up?

It's been awhile, but I think the points are under the dist cap on the other end.

no, I can see them through the pulley
EDIT: there are two versions of this motor. One has the distributor on top the other on the bottom "up side down"

Just answered my own question. For future searchers the manual states to use a flywheel puller should be used. Maybe a harmonic balancer puller would work too.

It should be very easy to get off. I've removed literaly hundreds of them without using a puller. It just slides up and off. But go ahead and use a puller is it is "stuck".

Normally what I used to do is remove the nut, take the belt guide plate off of the top, remove the belt to take tension off of the pully and just pull it off. You will have to re-time the magneto pulley to the c/s pulley when re-installing the belt. Hope you got a manual.

Back the pulley nut off flush with the top of the threads. Genty pry up on the pulley, and give the nut a rap with a hammer. The pully should pop off.
