Re: How do you make PB?

There are many different Mixes of putty and each one has there specific application.

You really want No putty if you can.

For a Deck/hull bond ( not a hull deck joint ) I would just use cabosil and resin as long as you dont have too large of a gap between them.

Here is a good trick of the trade 'secret' .. Take a plastic spreader..make a radius on one edge of the spreader about the size of a half dollar radius ( use a razor knife or scissors ). final shape it with some sand paper nice and roundish. You can final Clean your radi by rubbing them on your Denim Jeans .. yes thats right..denim jeans :) . Perfectly smooth factory edge for your radius fill.

If you have a large gap..fill it with the glass hair cabosil mix. Before it Kicks off take some resin and a brush and gently resin coat the fillet to Smooth out the putty ( your not going to get a perfectly smooth putty seam with just a spreader..use the resin brush to smooth it out so you dont have to sand before your glass application ). Before the putty kicks but after its heat cycle lay up your first layer of mat. Work quick.

I would advise you not to kick off your first batch of putty in large quantities until you have the perfect consistency.
