How can I tell if it is Port or Stb motor kicking the code?

This has me confused, when my brother's boat gives an over heat alarm both gauges give the over heat code. How do i isolate the problem motor?

Figured this out, Capn' was too blind to see the gauge kicking the code. I spotted it right away.
