I'm currently sanding the bottom of the hull and fixing stress cracks. I will definetly have to primer the hull before painting begins to seal my repairs.
My problem lies with the HIN. It's embedded in the fiberglass in the usual place and so far I've been sanding around it. Is there any reason I can't make a metal plate to rivet over the current HIN? I'm afraid that even though I've been very careful thus far, I'm still likely to hit it and make it unlegible. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Jason
