Hi there,
I just bout a 85 Sport Craft 20' OSFF 205 wa with an Alpha One 3.0 I/O.
Trailer has serge brakes, never owned one, want to back up my driveway to be closer to the house, is there a way to release the trailer brakes to back up hill?
Also, I have a 25 hp engine I would like to install as a kicker with a kicker bracket, would this be to heavy for the transom?

oops!

Re: Helpful info needed

hi.....congrats on the purchase.

if you are trying to back up and your brakes are coming on.....you must release the lock out.....the trailer must have come with a "key"
check with the manufacturer as most are in different places.

as far as a 25 hp kicker....on a 3.0....thats quite a kicker.....if your transom wood goes all the way across the back of the boat and is well tabbed in.....yes...it will hold the weight.

if the transom wood does not go all the way across the transom and is just a small peice around the i/o hole......nope....you will wreck your boat in no time.

cheers
