Help with a 85 140 hp Evinrude

I am not sure if the problem is with the gas pump. When my engine is at minium it turns off. I asked to a fisherman here and he said that it is the gas pump. But i am not sure. <br /><br />Can anyone help me here please. Sorry about my english but i am from Venezuela.

Bueno, Chiques.<br /><br />Welcome to the Board.<br /><br />I do not think your fuel pump is at fault.<br /><br />I think the adjustment of your carburetor synchronization and ignition linkage is at fault, particularly the idle speed setting.<br /><br />Instructions can be found in a correct Repair Manual.<br /><br />Good luck.
