I'm looking to buy a portable VHF radio, so I can use it between my 2 boats, I have no clue on what's out there or what to get. Of course price is also a factor. Help I really need a reliable radio.

Thanks

I have an Uniden Atlantis. They sell for around $100. Works just fine. 1W/5W selectable, weather channels, tri-channel monitoring, and memory. I wouldn't spend any less than that but $100 - $150 will get you a good radio from any of the major manufacturers.

I would recomend any of the ICOM products. Best in the business. ICM 34 will suite you fine.
