Re: help on evinrude duck twin

Your duck twin is a 1959 model. I have no idea as to the collector value. My opinion is not too much. How ever as a fishing and hunting motor they are priceless.

huntar,

I also own one of those little jewels. Mine is a '66'. One of the finest little engines ever made.

If it is a fold up model, the value is much greater. ($2-500.00)

Tune it up, and run it.

Things to do:

1. Replace the impeller.

2. The coils were subject to cracking. They are readily available.

3. Rebuild the carburetor-simple. If it has the cork float, replace it.

Enjoy!! :)

huntar,

The "fold up" means that you can fold the lower unit in roughly half and store it in a case that is about 2/3 the length of a normal outboard.

Got a digital camera? Send me a pic. at:

djohns19@peoplepc.com
