hello for starters great place,well here goes have purchased a 18hp mercury with serial 5905561 and want to know if this motor can be converted to a 25 and what parts if any are needed,also what year is this motor? thanks

18 and 25 are different engines because of bore and stroke. You're talking about cranking an extra 30% or so out of an engine.

hi thanks for the input then this motor cant be a 25 with any convertions right!You wouldnt also know the year of this motor would you?
