Help Identifying Year And Value

Looking at a 90 hp Johnson with the following information (as best as I could determine). Could someone please help me identify the model year.

Model: J90TLCIM
Serial: J5493077

The engine appears to be clean, original head gaskets and hoses, and used exclusively in fresh water. Runs good, idles fairly smooth, and has a consistent 120 psi compression showing all around. A little old but looks good. (Like me.) Power tilt and trim works well. Asking price is $1,100. What do you guys think? Thanks - Woodnaut

That's a 1981, Woody.

Price seems a bit steep to me, but I am no expert on values. (I have never slept in a Holiday Inn Express).

bargain down $200, you will be alright. if it is in as good shape as you say. good motor, almost bullet proof, and NO VRO.
