I get in ok, go to forums ok, but when I try to go to the different subjects..........It just lags for 30 seconds or so.
Really annoying. Don't need that many BEER BREAKS!
Seems to be only with IBOATS.
Turned everything off and have cleared most everything still to no avail.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hopefully it's not the dreaded, "We don't like you here, so we'll really slow your arse down syndrome"!

???

Seen it before . . . best suggestion is to try Firefox or Google Chrome. We don't know why, but some ISPs seem to be worse than others and the common denominator seems to be Internet Explorer.

Re: HELP.....Browser dragging with IBOATS

Thanks QC for the quick response.
My main browser is Firefox.....I've got chrome as well.....all doing the same!
I got done with IE a long time ago!!!!!
This issue has to do with my machine......Saying,
When I jump on to another machine, aka, wife's, which is wireless, hook on to the wireless router, which I'm cabled to (cat 5), it flies.

It's my machine doing something:confused:

Oh and by the way....it took 15 minutes to post this.

When I jump on to another machine, aka, wife's, which is wireless, hook on to the wireless router, which I'm cabled to (cat 5), it flies.

Could be your machine, your router, some type of blocking software you have running, or even some virus.
IF all your other computers are working fine, it narrows down where the problem is.

ugh..the poor browser always gets blamed!

For what it's worth I'm using IE and it loads fine. Like Don S said..if it's fast on your wifes laptop and slow on your PC then you know where the problem is..

Reset router, same results. Turned off Norton, still no help. What's funny is its just on IBoats in the forums where it lags.

Re: HELP.....Browser dragging with IBOATS

I've had the similar slowdowns with iboats. Have also had times when it wouldn't load the non-VP store. And it was just iboats and not other sites. It has gone away on it's own but still happens occasionally. Haven't figured out why it happens but I do run an antispyware program occasionally. Sorry for no solution but wanted you to know you're not the only one.

Re: HELP.....Browser dragging with IBOATS

IBoats has always been slow for me compared to other sites, it depends on time of day I am using it...early evenings are the slowest.

I've tried different browsers and that doesn't make a difference, its the server trunk line or other "out of my control" issue. Usually I just wait until late evening to browse the forum when its faster, just noticed it blazes along at this time of day though!

Thanks guy's for all your help.......
Still slow, but looking.....Will advise when I find "A-The" solution.
Anyways, It's boating time right? (For us people where we can?) Time to wake up my mistress, clean her up and get her ready.
I've been getting the ADMIRAL to do it these few years but, she's catching on!:D

Thanks guy's

The forums have always been slow but the iboats store and the rest of the sight works fine.

Re: HELP.....Browser dragging with IBOATS

UPDATE.....

Jumped on to Iboats just for the heck of it and....Chrome is working fine, no lags.
So I try Explorer, it's working fine as well. Then I try Firefox......
Still beer breaks, not saying I don't need them but......you know!:D
Must be a cookie update that takes time...and we all know we need our cookies.:p

Just a follow up.:(
