have a question about my stringers in my 21' wellcraft

my boats had alot more stringers then all the boats i has seen online.the stringers from the middle to the outer part were like a bunch of squares(about a foot X foot).do i need to put all those stringers back or will i be ok running four stringers long and three wide.
here you can see where all the stringers were.

Ordinarily I'd say replace what was there but man I can see how that would be considerable work in your case. I think your plan should be more than adequate.

Were all of these up level with the deck? Or were some just basically cross bracing?

they are all from the hull to the deck.

Wow that is one heavy duty strnger system for a 21 footer. I with EZ, normally I never recommend altering the design, but I think in this case you can elimanate a couple (port to starboard) and be fine.

I saw another Wellcraft with the same grid of stringers, I think it was because that boat did not have foam, so the stringer system was beefed up to make it stiffer. When I re-did my 88 FW, I had called FW about the foam and they told me it was both for flotation and structural...
However, this boat looks like it did have foam....
