I have a 97 150efi on a ranger boat. It runs excellent 5600rpm and over 60mph. Idles excellent. I keep it well maintained. I use seafoam in the fuel all the time because i question the gas you buy today and alot of stations in the northeast now have 10% alcohol.
My problem is that it starts alittle hard when cold. I prime the bulb and advance the idle....but unless i advance the idle way up, it wont start. When it does i have to be quick to pull it back off high idle.
Once started, it will start then on by almost looking at the key.
Maybe a sync and link.....tps senser???? or is it just the way they start?
