Does anyone have an opinion on the Harbor Freight electric winch for $59.95. The specs look adequate for my 14 ft runabout.

Will work fine for your app. but don't expect it to last long(cheap bearings). Why not just do with a standard crank model? Inexpensive and virtually indestructable. Don't you drive your boat onto the trailer and just winch it tight?

scotiany, I will give you first hand knowledge on them.
Do not waste your money on it. The one I bought 3 weeks ago is in the trash can in the garage.
I was using it to winch a atv upon a trailer and something in it broke and it quit winching.
I contacted them about it and they said it was my fault and they would do nothing about it.
Last thing I will buy from them.
Just my .02 worth.

Thanks, I guess I'll look elsewhere(like Northern Hydraulics) or whatever it is.
