My 67lb Motorguide doesn't run. It's only 3 1/2 yrs old with only 20 hrs use on it and the prop doesn't spin. Batteries (it's 24v) are full. I checked continuity, and the toggle switch, and IT DOES HAVE POWER going through the 2 main wires TO the motor but the prop doesn't turn at all. I'm a hands on guy but I've heard that cracking the seal on the motor is for pros. Please offer advice on any similar experience you have had. Many thanks, Tony Noriega, Tampa

Check for power on the motor side of the switch. If 24V is present, the switch is good and the motor may need attention. If there is no voltage beyond the switch the switch is bad.

Yes, it does have 24v (or variable, depending on where I position the switch/handle) on the motor side of the switch.

Then either the motor has a problem or there is an open wire between the switch and the motor. Looks like it needs to be opened up.
