Garelick pedestal seat

Never had a boat with pedestal seats, this one does and they don't seem to have any bearing but just aluminum to aluminum..is there a bushing missing?

I'll get a pic soon, but as you said, it probably needs a bushing...

Here's a picture, after cleaning the crud it does appear to have a nylon disk in the socket. Probably could use a bit of silicone lubricant..

I'll clean things up and it should work fine, the engine and drive seem to be working and I'm finally getting to enjoy the boat this year..

Mine are different, under the seat is a 3/4" dia pin that fits into a plastic bushing on the stand. Good luck..

Mine have nothing on the stand just the open tube.
