Gapping new style spark plugs

Have a pair of 2005 200HPDI engines with the dual electrode plugs. Do you gap the distance from the electrode to the center pin, same as you would as if it were a single electrode. Thanks!

no<br /> you use a wire feeler gauge and set the gap from the porcelain to the electrodes. the wire is parralel to the porcelain and perpendicular to the side electrotes. about here is where the tech manuals and a short reading session will help prevent you tearing up the very gear your trying to maintain. there is a tech bulliten as well on setting the gap on the dual electrode plugs. may be worth reading as it has a picture as well.
