I just bought a 1998 Neptune 200 CC. Can anybody tell me the capacity of the fuel tanks in those boats?
Also, the boat has a 140 HP Johnson motor. The previous owner said he used Yamaha motor oil. I can't buy that oil in the town I live in. Would it hurt anything if I switched over to Quicksilver?
Thanks, Buck

Re: Fuel tank capacity and engine oil.

I don't know about the fuel tank capacity, maybe someone with that same boat will come along and be able to help.

As far as oil for a 2 stroke outboard engine, any name brand marine 2 stroke oil should be fine (Quicksilver included). It'll be labeled that it's compliant with the TCW-3 spec.

Also, it doesn't look like Johnson made 140s in 1998, wondering what year your engine is?

usually there's a hatch cover over the tank where the pick-up is, and a plate on top of the tank nearby with capacity, year of mfg, etc
