Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum as well as new to owning a boat.
2000 Four Winns Horizon 180 LS

One of the front deck rails is missing on my boat, only has 3 metal pieces sticking out where it used to be attached.
I took off one of the upholstered sides and cannot get to them from there as it's just solid fiberglass.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get those out of there to replace it?

Most likely the rail was screwed on before the hull was decked. Find a replacement before you worry about how

I actually have the rail, was given to me with the boat.
Was hoping I could remove the "bolts" that hold it in and weld them back onto the railing and reinstall

Rail stanchions either have a threaded stud with a nut and washer from below or a pad with screws from above

On smaller boats, the whole cap and deck are usually rigged before the cap is glued n screwed in place. This includes hand rails.

If you do not have access, you may have to cut access holes or uncap the hull

Well, that's not what I wanted to hear lol

These definitely do not have screws from the top.

Don't know anything about uncapping the hull

Unfortunately most sub 26 foot boats are a assembled with only profit in mind. Not maintenance

Pull rub rail
Remove all the screws
Remove cap.

Without knowing specifics, that is all I have.

Interesting.

I got another question, is the fuse box supposed to always be hot, even when the key is removed from the boat?

I can post it in another thread if you would like.
