I am replumbing my boat, everything is getting replaced. It had hard plastic line in it, 3/8 id. My question is should I stay with that size or should I go a little larger. I havent bought the pump yet but I want a sensor type pump. The boat has 3 sinks a shower in the head and a transom shower .any thoughts or ideas ? Thanks Jamie

Re: Fresh water system plumbing question

the only reason to go with a bigger id is that you dont like the flow of the water you have.....a bigger pump will give you more pressure. so a larger id will give you more flow.....but then you will drain the hw tank faster.

there is a lot to weigh with that.

i have worked on simelar systems.....i thought the flow rate was pretty good...

Re: Fresh water system plumbing question

For example i have a Jabsco 36950-2000 Flow Rate: 3.0, GPM, Port Size: Slip on 1/2" to 5/8"

Which allows 7 minutes with my 20 gallon tank :)
