Hi All

I had the beast doing the idle mixtures today and after about 20minutes of idling, I had an overheat warning. I did the wtaerpump, exhaust plate etc, and I am confident that all is well with the waterflow- just my logical way of thinking is that when I am on the water, she spew out HEAPS of water from the back of the leg, whereas on the hose, little water comes out. Am I correct to assume that the hose fitting restricts somewhat the waterflow to the engine, or should I be looking further into it- remember I have NOT had the boat on the water since the waterpump and exhaust plate were replaced.

Cheers

****EDIT****

I just read the Clymers, and with the hose connected, the engine should be idling at 800-1100 rpm. My isle was set low @ 500rpm. Must have been a lack of waterflow- my bad.

The hose might not have enough pressure to run the motor correctly.J
