Force 120 clicks in neutral

Sorry to duplicate but the other post is closed . I have a force 120 that click when i spin the prop in neutral ,ca someone tell me what this is doing to th gears or dog clutch and will it damage anything ,and if i need to remove lower leg what must i do to make sure it does not go back the came way and do the same thing, in the other post they where talking of doing it several time would like to not.

Mers, are you sure it is in neutral. Have you started the engine and made sure the prop doesn't spin? I am sure it is a dumb question. Hopefully that is it. Otherwise good luck I haven't experienced that yet and hope I don't. It sounds like your in forward. Good luck

It is normal for the dog to click when the prop is over-running the gears, Mers. If you move the prop when in neutral or spin it against the selected direction when in gear the prop is over running.<br /><br />What "other post" are you referring to? You have made no post here that is closed.
