Thanks to all the guys....and gals that helped me. I finally got my Evinrude 50 running again. Not sure just how it happened, but, before she died she would start while in forward, but, for some unknown reason the first time I ran her to get her on the trailer when i cut her off she wouldn't start back up. At first I thought it was the battery, but, after charging the battery she still wouldn't start. At any rate she now shifts into Neutral and forward....still don't have reverse but, at least we can now get her started and keep her running. Our next issue will be to find out why she won't go into reverse. I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and insight. I do understand how hard it is to diagnose engine issues when the engine isn't available to see or hear. Will definately keep everyone posted on what I find out about the reverse issue.....and if anyone has any ideas feel free to let me in on them, THANK YOU so very much.
