Hi. Long time. Hope you all are well.
I need to replace the shift cable casing on an Evinrude 20 hp. The casing eye holding the engine's shift lever broke out the back.
New casings come with a ferrule and set screws to secure the new casing to the cable end.
How do I remove the original cable casing? It appears to be stainless pins vs. set screws without any meat to grab on to. Were they crushed into place?
