I am watching a prop on EBay, but can not find any reference info. I have done a number of Internet searches for 203261, with no success. The seller thinks it is a ore OMC merger number.

Re: Evinrude Prop 203261

I was curious about this prop and ran the number through an OMC database that supposedly goes back to 1955 and got ZERO results. Tried it at Michigan Wheel with no results either. Maybe the eBay person made an error. Good luck!

tell me the model number for your engine, and I'll tell you what props will fit.

Re: Evinrude Prop 203261

Thanks for the responses. I asked the seller to double check the part number and it is apparently 203261. I have an Evinrude 15024 1958 18hp. I have been able to find compatible props on-line (9 x 10 or 9.25 x 11), but I am trying to pick up a good prop cheap.

Re: Evinrude Prop 203261

I just received the prop today. It fits just fine. Here is a picture comparing the white 203261 9 x 11 prop to the 9 x 10 Michigan prop that is currently installed. I will get a chance to compare the performance of each next week. The unpainted Michigan prop has the same diameter, but blades with a larger surface area. With the Michigan prop I get about 20mph with a Lund C-14 aluminum boat. The white prop looks to be a bit closer to the OEM prop for this motor based on some pictures I have seen.

Be carefull with the new purchase....I don't have any books in front of me right now but I'd swear that white one is for like a 10hp-maybe not.
I tried to email seller to get more info but got nothing back. Keep us posted on what you find out.

Re: Evinrude Prop 203261

Well, I have good news and bad news.

First the good news. I compared the gps speed of my old 9 x 10 prop to the new 9 x 11 prop. My 9 x 10 peaked at 23mph at between 4400 and 4500 RPM. The small inductive tach I am using floats a bit. The new 9 x 11 prop peaked at 21mph at between 4450 and 4550 RPM. According to specs I have found, my 18HP is rated at 18HP at 4500 RPM. This was on different days with a bit different lake conditions, so I would call it a wash.

Now the bad news. After about an hour of run time, the new prop spun the hub. I had to limp across a 3 mile lake at just a bit faster than trolling speed. Any more throttle and the motor would rev high with no forward progress. Of course the wind was 20MPH and it was raining. Well, at least it would still run at slow speed.

I am currently in negotiations to return the prop or get some credit from the seller.

I also discovered that the hub on my old prop slips a bit. I marked the hub and back side of the prop with a Sharpie and noticed that the marks no longer align. I will start a new thread on this discussion.
