Evinrude Lower Unit Swap

I havent had time to look at both motors lower units side by side and am wondering if the lower unit from a 1957 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 will fit a 1958 10hp Sportwin?

No, they will not. Similar outer casting, but completely different innards and shafts...

The Sportwin will take and of the 1958 & later Johnson or Evinrude 10hp lower units up to 1963, and you can use the 1964 & later 9.5 units with some swapping around of shafts and such.

This is true. The 50's 5.5 and 7.5 hp models are interchangeable. The 7.5 to 10 is not.
