Evinrude 8 hp MANUAL

I have a 1985 Evinrude 8 hp. I can't find a SERVICE manual for that motor. Is the 1986 Service Manual the same thing? Or will it make a difference?

The original Evinrude service manual can be found at outboardbooks.com . It is pricey, but it is worth it if you are planning on keeping the motor for a long time.

Are you sure? I can't find it. My 8 hp is E8CROB.

I have had success finding OEM service manuals on Ebay.

+1 on the OEM manual... they might be a little more expensive but they are worth it.

Keep an eye on EBAY, and make sure its an OEM manual.

I have a 1984 8hp and am also looking to buy a manual eventually. I was able to find an OEM manual for the lower unit for pretty cheap to help me with a pressing issue....So if money is short you might find a smaller manual on a certain section of your motor, of that helps. Parts diagrams are easy to find on the internet for free. Like you though, I need a full manual. Will get one, as soon as I can afford it.
