Hello,

does anyone know the exact technical differences between the Evinrude and the Johnson 30 hp 2-cylinder ?

Greetings from Germany

Nordy
You can now look up parts online:
http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Accessories/Engine.Diagrams.htm

But I believe the exact differences are the colour of the paint, and the decals used for any modern one. Exempting the new 4-strokes naturally.
Hallo Paul,

thank You for Your helpful link.

I noticed absolute no technical difference between the engines (the Johnson 35hp 2-cyl. included.

Does it really mean that the same engine was sold as 30 and maybe for a higher price as 35hp ?

It make no sense.

Greetings

Nordy
Nordy,
For what it's worth,I have a '76 Johnson 35hp and use a 1976 Evinrude 35hp manual.They are 99 % identical.
So far, have only found 2 differences.

Best wishes....
The intake for the 35 HP is a different partnumber, adding a little more volume to the intake, I think its the only, maybe a little more spark advance on the 35 HP.
Sorry Dane,

I compared all relevant parts.

There is absolute no parts difference between 1994 Evinrude/Johnson 35hp and the same year 30 hp.
Manifold and cam, which provides for spark advance when opening throttle are identical too.

The wot spark advance maybe different.
That of the 30hp is 30°.
Who knows the value of the 35hp ?

Nordy
