Evinrude 250hp No Reverse or Forward Gear

I was out on the boat running @ 3600 rpm when then left motor 2003 Evinrude Ficht 250hp counter rotation Rev Up, The Prop Spins freely in forward and reverse gear can anyone what can be wrong

Step # 1 is to drain some gear oil.----------May have stripped the gears or maybe a broken shaft.

With only the info provided, maybe you spun a prop. Meaning the rubber insert broke free from the outer hub...
