I'm looking at buying a 2000 seaswirl striper 26' with twin evinrude 150 HP ficht RAM injection but I'm still wondering if evinrude have any problem with this type of motor.
I do believe that the 2000 and later motors should be OK and would have had any updates done if they were needed, but it can be checked by a dealer on the serial number of the motor.
If they have not been updated to Bombardier specs, and documented, avoid them.

The early FICHT engines were very unreliable and became reliable only after Bombardier bought the brand and did some significant engineering changes. I think the 2000 models (need to confirm with engine model numbers) were eligible for update. After 2001, Bombardier dropped the FICHT name and simply called them DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) and made reliable engines out of them.

Good luck.
