Engine swap on 2001 bombardier

Hi,

I have a question regarding my 2001 1200 CC Bombardier. The engine died and I was offered an engine from a 2002 same size Bombardier. The difference I see is that the Bombardier with the good engine has the reverse on the side (manual) while the one with the bad engine is on the handle (electronic). They are both direct injection, 3 pistons and look exactly the same. Do you guys see any obvious reasons why this would not work or is the swap a straight forward process?

sure they are bombardier?? and not yamaha only 3 cylinder engines sea doo makes are 4 stroke.. and sea doo doesn't have a 1200 engine but yamaha does also the handle bar control is trim not reverse,, I think you need to know what you are working with if you want someone to tell you it will work!!
