Sweet....Now go figure out what burnt the other coil up,otherwise you'll be needing another tow real soon.Happy Boating

Or............ you could just go out and get a few more coils and keep them in the boat!!!:p

Calendar age is almost irrelevent...

Coils(and other parts) on these engines actually have very few running hours on them compared to their auto couterpart.

They(coils) usually don't "go", they're a "here" or "gone" item.

I'd still troubleshoot before taking it too far from the dock.

When my engine quit I trouble shot everything fuel,points condenser, and finally coil .changed it and happy boating ever since.
(coil was original 1976 until 2012)
