Hello,

I installed a Monitor Fresh Water Cooling kit on my 1998 5.0L Bayliner Ciera 2252 and hit a bit of a snag in that the engine box cover no longer fits as the coolant fill on the heat exchanger sits about 1.75" higher than the power steering pump on the high port side. I have been looking around at pcitures of other 2252s that have the fresh water cooling kits installed, and obviously none of them have the engine box cover in the picture. One thing I noticed is that the 2252s that have the FWC installed all seem to be the 5.7 liter engine model. From what I understand the block in the 5.7 and the 5.0 is the same, so this has left me scratching my head as to why their engine box cover fits but mine doesn't. I am now wondering if the models that had the FWC installed at the factory had a different engine box cover. If anyone can give me any hints regarding this it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
