From posts I've seen I felt I could get honest answers here. I've always heard a dumb question is one never asked so here goes. I have a fuel pump problem with my '85 Merc 4 cylinder which still exists after new diaphragm installed. It won't continue pumping fuel to the carbs. My question is, would it be possible to install an electric fuel pump and bypass the original? It's my understanding the carbs need approximately 2 psi fuel pressure to operate correctly.
